Todd is now working in Wyoming for the next 8-10 weeks. I am so glad that he is working again as he was going nuts trying to find stuff to do. 

I had my gallbladder removed last Wednesday and I have found that I don't heal as quickly as I once did.  Life is always fun. Something has always got to be happening. 

I am finishing up an afgan for Rick and Lish's baby.  I am super excited to be Grandma. 

So the crazy life is getting crazier.  Todd starts a job at the Bridger Power Plant in Wyoming.  This job will last about 8 weeks.  Yeah for work.  Boo for time apart.  This is going to be awesome.  We will be able to start taking care of debt and not just tread the currents of life wondering what next. 

I will be adding more photos.  I just need to figure out where I put all the photo cd's. I also need to catch a picture of the camera shy cat.

Last Year in a Nutshell

Okay I know that I have been slacking on keeping this updated.   This year has been very busy.  We have bought a house, moved twice, added a family member ( love you Lish),  added another dog (Misty) and a cat (Wyatt?),  I have a new job, and we are now going to be grandparents. So that is the last year in a nutshell and if I type small enough it will fit in a nutshell. 

I am missing Todd. He is in New Mexico working on a power plant for the next 7-8 weeks. Yeah for money and getting out of debt. Boo for being apart.

Candy Graduated from puppy classes. I wonder if I will ever feel like I can actually train her. She is very smart and learns things quickly, but I seem to fall short on some of the training. I also think the classes were more to train the owner than the dog.

New News At My House

So here is what is going on at my house. Thanksgiving was spent at my in-laws. Kyle has a new girlfriend and has decided to be a vegetarian. Kyle's cousin Patricia flew in from Texas to spend his birthday and a few other days with him.

On the Nov. 30 and December 1st Todd and I made the whirlwind tour of Saint George and Page, Az so that we could pick up Todd's vacation check (the gas prices made it so that we spent about $80 in gas, woo-hoo).

Back in November I signed up under Lish to be a Pampered Chef Consultant and I had my first show and sold over $300 Thanks Susie. Not to bad. I know that I can do better. I decided I needed to do something to get out of the house and moving around more. I also can't find any surveying work as the drop in housing has affected the surveyors also.

While in Saint George, Kelsi got me to make a hat so that she can start to sell them with her bows and things. I made one in an hour and left it with her. and I have since made a few others and when I get new batteries for my camera I will post the pictures and also send some to Kelsi.

I keep wondering if life can get any better and I believe that it will. Because even though times are tuff we always have family and family can usually help put things in perspective.

So I was sitting here looking at everyones blogs and wishing that there were some new entries and I realized that I haven't been doing to great on that front myself.

This is Candy and she is a black lab that we adopted from the Humane Society. She was about 8 weeks when we got her and she seems to have double in the few weeks that we have had her.

Kyle was gone for the weekend. He stayed at Rick and Alicia's and when he came back he got to see her and he was very surprised. She now waits for him by the sliding door. It is like having a baby again.

Yesterday was very busy. I went surveying with dad in the morning. Kyle had a date to Homecoming and he was frantic to get the house clean as they were going to watch a video here at the house. it is interesting to watch my boy decide to clean and then do it without me at least saying two or three times that he needs to do ... and then tell the steps that need to be done. He did a great job.

His dates name is Christin and she is very nice.

They had a good time and I got a clean house.

Last Thursday I was helping Susie tape her kitchen in preparation for painting and as there was no place left to prepare or eat food we went to my house for lunch and Todd fed Talie her first Hoho and she didn't like the flash of the camera but boy did she get chocolate everywhere.

Staying busy still and can't wait for Susie to get back so we can finish the doors of the cabinets. the rest looks awesome. Hope that she is having fun in Maryland.

I guess someone found the camera and these are the only pictures we have so far. Isn't Ava cute. And I guess someone thought it was important to show the food table.

Day after the Wedding

On Saturday I was asked by Lish if I wanted to meet at their house and watch them open presents I did of course. It was fun to see them glowing and talking about how great the room at the B&B was. I am very grateful that Lish is now a part of our family and I look forward to getting to know her much better in the days and years to come.

It has been a busy week. I think that when it rains it pours is quite appropriate this week.

On Sunday I talked to Susie for about 40 min. I knew that they were expecting Tobin to die and I just needed to talk with her and since she did most of the talking I guess she needed to talk also. Tobin passed away Monday morning around 1am. He has been in so much pain and knowing that the pain has stopped and he is living with Heavenly Father helps some. This picture is how a want to remember him. He always seemed to have a smile even when I know that he was in pain. Smile number one. Susie and I spent a few hours together on Monday as I drove her around for a few of the things that needed to be done.

On Tuesday I went to my cousin Julie's oldest son's wedding. Scott looked very happy and I wish them well. It was fun to see my cousins and their children, the way that children grow is always a surprise. Most of these children I hadn't seen in years.

Tonight I have the viewing of Tobin and his funeral is tomorrow. I also have the rehearsal for Rick and Lish on Thursday and their wedding is on Friday.

This week I have on occasion wished that the week was over so I can stop feeling torn by all that is happening.

What a weekend!! First on Saturday about 10:00 pm Kyle decided after talking with his Aunt Veronica that he would go up and see his Grandma June. We had just finished talking with Veronica when I got a call from my mother and she wanted me to come over and take dad to the hospital. Well he is still there and waiting to hear/see the neurologist. You wouldn't know that there had been anything wrong with him on Saturday as he is back to being the same as always except that you need to go to the hospital to see him.

Todd is working with Joe today. He is doing some welding and if everything goes the way that it has in the past he should get a call from the hall to go on another job. Here's HOPING!!!!!!

Kyle made it on his first flight by himself and it went off without a hitch. He got to see his Grandma June and she was happy to see him. From the little he told me last night he is enjoying everything so far.

It has been a very busy week. I have seen Rick and Alicia, things on the Wedding front are moving rapidly. They have their invitations completed and have begun to pass them out and mail them.

Today Alicia and I are going out and looking at beads for the necklaces. I hope that we can find some reasonably priced beads and that there will not be to many snags in locating the quantity that we will need.

Kyle has found a job at Zumez in the Provo Towne Centre and is extremely excited about it. He had his first day on the job yesterday and seemed happy when he came home.

Dinner With the Kids

On Sunday June 22 I had Rick, Alicia, and Maria over for dinner. It was a fun time and we got to know Alicia a little better. I actually got some pictures but of course Rick had to make getting a good picture of him hard. It is good to know that Rick is happy and that Alicia is a big part of that. They have set a date to get married and it is August 22 and I wish that I knew more of what is going on.

New News

Well I know it has been awhile since I posted last and I am getting excited that Rick is getting married in September (it is still unofficial) to Alica. I am working on getting some pictures of them together but I am lucky if I see them once a month.

Kyle has spent a lot of time this year watching my friend Susie's kids and here are a couple of pictures of him with Tobin and Tallia her two youngest. Aren't they just cute.

Today I decided I would continue with setting up the Blog I started last week and I am looking forward to all the stuff that I can write and put on a blog. I think that my children are going to wish that I wasn't reminded of blogging. I am certain that some of the things that are going to end up here are going to be embarrassing for them and as I will most likely be posting what I am currently working on and lately that has been scrapbooking. I am getting a lot done and each book is like going down memory lane for me especially as I really hadn't done to well at keeping it up in the past. I love my children and I can't wait to see what comes next.
